About campus :

Education sets one free… going beyond words to expression, beyond earth to sky, beyond thought to action, ‘Soaring High is My Nature’ is our motto at Apeejay School. The beginning of Apeejay School, Pitampura dates back to May 1990, when the first admission was done for classes Nursery, K.G. and I. The school made a humble beginning in July 1990.

Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for its All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations and a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference, there are classes from Nursery to XII. At the +2 level the School has two streams viz. Science and Commerce.

Modern and latest teaching techniques, discipline through example and encouragement, excellent facilities for co-curricular and sporting activities, make the School an ideal platform for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth of the children in its fold.

Mr. Dilip Kumar Bedi joined the school as Principal on 20th July 1992. Mr. D.K Bedi received a National Award for his valuable work in the field of education by the honorable President Dr. Pratibha Patil in 2007.

With all this and more our school has become one of the most prestigious schools in Delhi, where the students walk hand in hand with the contemporary times realizing the value of togetherness. With the fast moving and expanding horizon our students know that ‘All Expansion is Life and All Contraction is Death’.

The school building was built on a four-acre plot allotted by the DDA. In 1990-91, a temporary structure with 11 classrooms and an Activity Room was ready. The school building comprising of the basement, ground, first and second floors were ready by 1994 and all the classes were shifted to the new building on 18th July 1994. This way the School moved from an idea to reality.

The Philosophy of the School is essentially based upon the ideals of Vedanta, Plato and Kant. It is founded on the premise: that every human being is unique and has the potential to rise to limitless heights: that true happiness lies in living in harmony with nature and not in conquering it. Overall development of a child's potential is our prime goal. We want children to gain knowledge and develop a positive approach to life. Ours is a 'Smart School' with the I.T. (Information Technology) awareness and updated curriculum, where the teachers are reflective practitioners and the students are encouraged to develop self-learning skills. Finally, they are judged in terms of ripening of their true potential.

At Apeejay School, Pitampura, every child seeks knowledge not because he "should" but because he "wants" to. We provide value based quality education that is rooted in our cultural heritage. The school has a congenial, child-friendly environment for developing a complete human being with an enviable character. The school offers value-driven education of global dimension from pre-primary to the Sr. secondary level.

Recently, aiming at making students Global Citizens by not only making them tolerant towards other cultures but also to accept and respect these cultures, the school is making a steady move towards ‘Internationalism’, where the students realize that ‘The whole World is but one Family’, Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.

The club provides an opportunity to every student to come up with their ideas and opinion on topics related to values, politics and other issues through debates, discussions, dramatics and skits. Students are exposed to various techniques of meditation.

This club provides a platform to the students to discuss safety measures especially on roads. Activities like Poster making, Slogan writing, group discussion, skits and projects were conducted during the year. The students also spread awareness in and around the school by talking to people and children highlighting adoption of safety measures.

This is done with the help of Poster Making Competition, Skits, Quiz, Model Making, Extempore and Writing poems. The Astronomy Club has formally associated itself with SPACE (Science Popularization Associations of Communications and Educators). This has been done to inculcate scientific temper among the students by introducing concepts of science through a process of inquiry, experimentation and analysis. The club formally started functioning in the month of November 2004 with Introductory Journey on the Beam of Light. The activities are spread over a period of one year and these include sky observation, interactive multimedia session, and visits to the Planetarium etc.

The students learn yoga to achieve the integrated growth of mind, self – management of behavior, thought and attitude. This also helps students to develop a disciplined and wholesome personality.

The aim of this club is to familiarize the children with the common plants in the surrounding and at home. And also to make them familiar with different growth patterns of plants of different seasons. By the end of the session, the students have had a first hand experience in growing seasonal vegetables of winter as well as summer.

The aim of this club is to impart training to students, regarding the new technology i.e. Robots. Students actively learn assembling of Robots. Once assembling part is over, they write programs on computer to make robot functional. It enhances creativity and develops their logical skills.
